Hi, I’m Louise. I started working at Wallace Vets in March 2016 having left my previous career as a Chartered Accountant
Wallace Vets supported me throughout my training at the College of Animal Welfare in Edinburgh and I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in November 2019.
I love the variety of the job and find that no two days are ever the same. I particularly enjoy being involved in surgeries, whether that be monitoring anaesthetics or assisting the surgeons during surgery. I find inpatient care very rewarding, and I love seeing patients get better and go home because of the quality treatment and care we provide.
In my spare time I am a keen trail runner and like to test my physical and mental limits by running ultramarathons, which are races longer than marathon distance. I enjoy the sense of freedom I get from running along a trail or being up a hill surrounded by nature.
At home I am kept busy by my cheeky rescue cat called Jax.
