Important Information

In light of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we are taking the following steps to protect our clients and employees.

Arbroath & Carnoustie

To enable us to protect our clients and employees our Arbroath and Carnoustie practices will remain closed

Broughty Ferry

We will be concentrating our efforts on providing emergency services only from our Broughty Ferry practice.

Our temporary opening hours are:
Mon to Fri, 8am – 6pm
Sat, 9am – 4pm
Sun, 10am – 12pm

Our Out of Hours service continues to run outwith these times

If the on-call Vet asks you to meet them at our Practice

  • The entrances to our practice will be closed

  • When you arrive, please call our reception from your car to let us know you have arrived

  • Our team will come out to the car park to speak with you at safe distance before bringing your pet into the practice for the Vet to examine them

  • We will not be allowing clients into the practices

Vaccinations

  • We are no longer carrying out routine vaccinations

  • For Pets where we have given their 1st vaccination, we will honour giving their 2nd vaccination, however this may be up to one month after the 1st vaccination was given.

  • For pets needing their booster vaccination, these can be delayed for up to 3 months past the year date, following manufacturers guidelines.

Reducing contact

  • We are no longer running routine Nurse or Vet Consultations

  • As well as phone consultions we have introducing video consultations through FaceTime and Skype

  • We are no longer carrying out routine surgery

  • Where appropriate, consent forms for emergency/essential treatment and surgery are to be completed online the day before

    • You will be sent a text message with a link to complete and sign this online. Please ensure we have your correct mobile number

  • Admit appointments will be replaced with a handover at distance

  • We will be conducting discharge appointments by phone before you collect your pets

  • We are no longer carrying out routine injections, with exception of chemotherapy

  • 6 month health checks for repeat long-term medication will be assessed on a case by case basis over the phone

  • We are no longer accepting payments by cash and ask that all clients pay by card over the phone or online at wallacevets.com/pay

  • Puppy Parties have been cancelled for the foreseeable future

  • School and College work experience placements have been cancelled for the foreseeable future

  • We have disabled the ability to make appointments online

Prescription Medication

To free up our phone lines for emergency calls, please following these instructions for ordering repeat medication:

  • Order online by clicking here

  • Phone us on 01382 549600 and select option 1 to leave a message

  • Your message should have the following information:

    • Your name

    • Your pets name

    • The medication you need

Your medication will be posted out to you. Please be aware that the postal service may take 3 working days to do this.
